Neil Shah, MD

Dr. Neil Shah is a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine and non-operative Orthopedics specialist. He graduated with honors from The University of South Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Supply Chain Management. He worked in consulting, logistics, and process improvement before returning to school to complete his medical degree at The Medical University of South Carolina.

Following medical school, Dr. Shah completed his Family Medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. During his residency, he gained extensive experience in sports ultrasound and working as a physician with USA Boxing, USA Taekwondo, University of North Florida Athletics, professional surfing, various triathlons and mass events, Florida School for the Deaf and Blind athletics, and with local high school athletics.

After residency, Dr. Shah pursued a Sports Medicine fellowship with Campbell University at Conway Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. He served as Event Physician for professional boxing, AVP volleyball, professional surfing, All-Star bowl games and various other athletic and sporting events. He served as primary team physician for two local high schools. He also worked with collegiate Division I athletic programs including Campbell University and Coastal Carolina University.

Dr. Shah is passionate about sports medicine, musculoskeletal issues, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine. He has had numerous publications in the orthopedics and sports medicine realm, and is committed to contributing to the advancement of sports medicine treatments and procedures. He has extensive training in diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections, as well as nutritional strategies which he integrates into his practice every day.
