MEDICAL CAREER OPPORTUNITY AT IORTHO

Interventional Spine & Pain Management Physician
iOrtho – The Orthopedic Institute
New York / New Jersey

Position Summary

$400,000–$500,000 Base Compensation + Uncapped Productivity Incentive
Total Compensation Potential: $500,000–$650,000+

iOrtho – The Orthopedic Institute is seeking an Interventional Spine & Pain Management Physician to join our expanding multidisciplinary orthopedic practice serving patients throughout the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician who wants to step into an established substantial interventional spine and pain practice within an established orthopedic organization — with immediate access to a large referral base, advanced imaging, physical therapy, orthopedic surgeons, spine specialists, and procedural facilities.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will develop and lead the interventional spine and non-operative pain component of iOrtho’s multidisciplinary musculoskeletal program.

The position is designed for a physician who enjoys procedural medicine and spine care and wants to practice in an environment where clinical volume, technology, and referrals are already established.

You will have the opportunity to evaluate and treat patients with:

  • Cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders
  • Radiculopathy and spinal stenosis
  • Discogenic pain
  • Facet-mediated pain
  • Sacroiliac joint disorders
  • Musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain
  • Sports and occupational injuries
  • Chronic spine-related pain
  • Postoperative and nonsurgical spine conditions

Interventional Procedures

Depending upon training and experience, the physician will perform a broad range of image-guided procedures, including:

  • Cervical, thoracic and lumbar epidural steroid injections
  • Transforaminal epidural injections
  • Selective nerve-root blocks
  • Facet injections
  • Medial branch blocks
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Sacroiliac joint injections
  • Peripheral nerve injections
  • Trigger-point and musculoskeletal injections
  • Fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Other advanced minimally invasive spine procedures consistent with the physician’s training

There is also an opportunity to develop additional advanced interventional services as the program grows.

Why iOrtho?

  • X-ray
  • MRI access
  • Ultrasound
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Bracing and rehabilitation services

A Physician-Centered Practice

iOrtho is physician-led and privately operated.

We offer an environment designed around:

Clinical autonomy.
Practice medicine without the bureaucracy of a large hospital system.

Immediate referrals.
Work alongside orthopedic surgeons, spine specialists, sports medicine physicians and other musculoskeletal specialists.

Procedure-focused practice.
The emphasis is on diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment rather than high-volume medication management.

Advanced infrastructure.
Access to imaging, procedure rooms, rehabilitation and orthopedic subspecialists.

Administrative support.
Our team handles the infrastructure surrounding the physician so you can focus on patient care.

Growth opportunity.
The successful physician will have the opportunity to substantially expand the interventional spine and pain program.

Compensation

Base Compensation: $400,000–$500,000

Compensation will be determined according to experience, fellowship training, procedural expertise and anticipated clinical responsibilities.

In addition:

  • Uncapped productivity incentive
  • Significant earning potential based on clinical/procedural productivity
  • Signing/relocation assistance available for the right candidate
  • Comprehensive malpractice coverage
  • Medical, dental and vision benefits
  • Retirement plan
  • CME allowance and CME time
  • Professional licensing and credentialing support
  • Paid vacation
  • Professional development support

High-performing physicians can reasonably achieve total compensation of $500,000–$650,000+, with additional upside for physicians who develop a high-volume interventional practice.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an MD or DO who is:

  • Fellowship-trained in Pain Medicine, Interventional Spine, or a related discipline
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in an appropriate specialty
  • Experienced in fluoroscopic and/or ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Comfortable managing spine patients independently
  • Interested in building a substantial interventional practice
  • Collegial and comfortable working within a multidisciplinary orthopedic environment
  • Committed to evidence-based, nonoperative treatment
  • Interested in long-term growth within a physician-led organization

Candidates trained in PM&R, Anesthesiology, Neurology or other appropriate specialties with substantial interventional spine experience will be considered.

The Ideal Practice Model

This position is particularly attractive for a physician who wants:

High procedural volume + established orthopedic referrals + clinical autonomy + private-practice environment + uncapped earning potential.

The physician will have the opportunity to become the principal interventional spine/pain physician within a growing orthopedic organization rather than simply becoming another provider in a large hospital-employed pain department.

Location

Positions are available within iOrtho’s New York/New Jersey practice network, with particular emphasis on our New Jersey and Staten Island markets.

iOrtho’s current New Jersey location is in South Amboy, with additional New York locations in Staten Island and Manhattan. (iOrtho – The Orthopedic Institute)

The region provides convenient access to New York City, excellent residential communities, major transportation corridors and a large patient population.
