Medical Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing orthopedic practice. This position plays a vital role in supporting our physicians and providing an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

iOrtho specializes in outpatient orthopedics with an emphasis on sports medicine, spine, pain management and physical therapy practice. We have been serving Staten Island since 2000 and are committed to helping patients get back to their daily activities. We create a personalized care plan for each of our patient’s condition or injury. Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures, including injections and cast applications
• Perform venipuncture as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
• Respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
• Manage clinical inventory and medical supplies
• Sterilize instruments and maintain exam room cleanliness and organization
• Support providers and staff in delivering high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum of one year of medical office experience required
• Orthopedic experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment• Professional development and growth opportunities
